4-day Intense Course

From January 23 to 26, Dr. Sonwa gave lectures at an intense course "Agroecology, forest governance and rural development in Central Africa." The theme of each day is following: Day 1 is ecological services; day 2 is livelihood and economy; and day 3 is governance and institutions. On the last day, Dr. Sonwa gave students oppotunities to give presentations.

The course provided students not only basic ideas of forest and environment, but also broad topics such as relations between forest and local livelihood; developments by international organizations. Students from other universities also attended the class, and had great interests with Dr. Sonwa's lecture, comparing their own countries' situation.
