On February 6, 2019, Dr. Amoah visited Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University with Dr. Kazue Demachi. He made a presentation at a research meeting jointly organized by Dr. Demachi's KAKENHI and Mieno Seminar from CSEAS.

Under the theme "the Financial Literacy-Retirement Planning nexus; any role for behavioral finance?", he analyzed people's financial literacy and a choice of investment for their retirement at urban areas in Ghana and pointed out many people overestimate their financial literacy. Many young scholars and PhD students who have interests on economy and finance in developing countries attended the meeting, and actively took part in the discussion.
