Dr. Teshome had his first class for undergraduate students on October 2, 2019. The class is an elective subject for students and its theme is "Indigenous Knowledge System". After he introduced himself and explained about name system in Ethiopia, he encouraged students to introduce themselves with writing their names on white board. However, it wasn't just self-introduction. Dr. Teshome gave concrete examples of indigenous knowledge rom their explanation about the meanings of their names, which made it easier for students to understand what indigenous knowledge is. We believe that students can consider not only local system of their countries but also global issues by learning indiginous knowledge system from a foreign teacher.
