On Tuesday, October 10, Professor Shahid Vawda, ASC Visiting Professor for the fall semester of the 2023 academic year, gave a guest lecture for two classes for first and second year African Studies majors: "Basic African Studies 2" and "Language of Study (Africa II-6)".

Under the title of "Africa! An exciting place to learn and research," he talked about the appeal of African studies and the fascination of looking at the world from Africa, while introducing his research career, which spanned from South Africa and other parts of Africa to Europe.
