Prof. Kojo Opoku Aidoo, our visiting professor from University of Ghana, arrived in Japan on March 25, voluntarily took a PCR test on the third day, finished the self-isolation period yesterday, and came to TUFS today, on March 31.
He belongs to Institute of African Studies at University of Ghana, where Prof. Kojo Amanor, our former visiting professor who stayed in Japan in 2019, belongs to, and his speciality is in political science. He will teach for undergraduate students during the spring semester, and will also give lectures at public seminars.
When the Japanese government stopped accepting new entry of foreign nationals last November, we thought we may have to postpone to invite him. However, as soon as the Japanese government eased its border restrictions in March, Prof. Aidoo quickly took actoins such as a visa application, and also the embassy and MOFA issued his visa immediately, and we were able to invite him as scheduled. International students of TUFS are also gradually coming to Japan, and cherry blossoms on campus look happiest and most beautiful in this 2 years.
We are excited to start a new semster from tomorrow!
