On July 29, the delegation of ASC-TUFS met with Mr. Yasushi Naito, counsellor and consul, and Ms. Sae Torii, administrative staff of office of consul of Japan in Cape Town. We had a briefing from Mr. Naito about the current situation of the town and historical relationship between Japan and Cape Town.

On 31th, we had a meeting with Prof. Scarlett Cornelissen at Stellenbosch University. She works in the field of international relations, addressing the political economy of Africa's relations with Japan. To promote the substantial interactions of the scholars in both countries, we discussed the various problems we should tackle.
