Malaysian Studies Students Win Top Three Spots at Japan Malay Speech Contest

On Sunday, December 7th, the Japan Malay Speech Contest took place at the ASEAN-Japan Centre. The competition was hosted by the Japan-Malaysia Association in cooperation with the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan and Tourism Malaysia.
Eiko Akazawa (Junior, School of International and Area Studies) placed first, Atsunori Fujii (Senior, Faculty of Foreign Studies) second, and Arisa Sakamoto (Senior, Faculty of Foreign Studies) placed third.
The students dominated the prizes, making for another strong showing by TUFS.

Eiko Akazawa will represent Japan at the International Speech Competition in Malay, Prime Minister’s Cup next March.
