TUFS Student Wins Prize at Yokohama Business Grand-Prix 2015

On February 21st, Nahoko Yoshioka (Sophomore, Arabic language major) was awarded the Studnet Entrepreneur Prize at a competition, the Yokohama Business Grand-Prix 2015. The competition was hosted by Yokohama Industrial Development Corporation, sponsored by the Yokohama economic affair bureau, and supported by Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. Yoshioka won the prize in the students division.

The purpose of this competition is to discover entrepreneurs who want to start their businesses. Contestants undergo a document-based exam, first presentation exam, and final presentation exam. In her winning presentation, Yoshioka talked about Security Information Application. This real-time application provides security information with visitors, correspondents and their families in unstable countries such as those in the Middle East. Yoshioka also won the first prize in the Waseda University Application Contest, and was awarded two pirzes from sponsors (the ADK Prize and the Information Technology Mita Group Prize) in the KBC summit.
