University of Regina's President and officials Visit TUFS On Tuesday, April 14th, Vianne Timmons, the president of the University of Regina, and Shahnora Mustafayeva, the coordinator of the International Relations and Partnerships, came to TUFS and had a meeting with TUFS President Hirotaka Tateishi, Executive Director Koji Miyazaki (Research, Education, and International Strategies), and Professor Akihito Okada.
The president’s visit was the first time since March 2013, when the two universities signed the academic partnership.
In the meeting, President Timmons showed her high interest in TUFS's various research activities and short programs designed for students from overseas. The guests and their hosts exchanged ideas about how to deepen relations between the universities.
Makiko Nambu, a postgraduate of the Global Studies program, showed representatives of the University of Regina around TUFS. Nambu received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Regina.
