Uruguayan Ambassador Visits TUFS

On Wednesday, June 10th, His Excellency Mr. Eduardo Bouzout Vignoli, the Uruguayan ambassador to Japan, and Mr. Fernando Pereda, the Uruguay Second Secretary and Counsul, visited TUFS and met with President Tateishi, Prof. Shigeru Suzuki, and Prof. Kurosawa, Assistant Prof. Kuno, and Assistant Prof. Miyachi.

On May 29th, the ambassador attended the opening ceremony which TUFS held for an educational and research network focusing on Spanish-Portuguese countries called “Mundus Latinus in Japan”.

The network project led to this meeting to confirm that they promote international exchanges with Uruguay and TUFS, such as a cooperative project of TUFS Cinema which shows Uruguayan movies with Spanish subtitles. They also agreed to promote academic exchange with a Uruguayan university and TUFS.
