A lecture titled "Poetry Workshop, Angeles" held

On Friday, July 17th, Japanese Language Center for International Students, TUFS welcomed Prof. Kayoko Yamazaki, University of Belgrade, as a lecturer.  She is a professor and poet, and gave a lecture titled “Poetry Workshop, Angeles”.  Many international students, TUFS Students, and others attended it.

In the workshop, Prof. Yamazaki first showed an educational method using Japanese and Serbian modern poetry which she invented and performed, and then participants tried it themselves.   Having recited and performed a part of a poem, they discovered the depth of poetry.

TUFS has concluded an academic exchange agreement with University of Belgrade since 2010.  TUFS sends Japanese instructors to them, and also accepts students from them.

After the workshop, Prof. Yamazaki visited Prof. Miyazaki, Vice President for International Strategies.  Prof. Hayashi, Executive Director, and Prof. Kyoko Numano in charge of its academic agreement, joined them and discussed the possibilities of researcher exchanges between the two universities.
