The Tanzanian Ambassador gave a lecture for the Series of Lectures of SADC

TUFS provides the series of lectures of Southern African Development Community (SADC) every fall quarter. Speakers from 12 embassies among SADC are invited to give a lecture in English on their history and future prospects, economy, culture, and relationship with Japan. It is the 4th time this year.

The series of lectures 2015 started on Wednesday, October 14th, and the third lecturer on October 28th was Her Excellency Ms. Batilda Salha BURIAN, from the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania. Her lecture interested students in Tanzanian history and economy, and her beautiful traditional clothes fascinated them as well.

This series of lectures is held as a required subject for first-year undergraduates majoring in Africa.To promote exchange between Japan and Southern African Countries, the lectures are also open to TUFS students and faculty members without registration.
