Comprehensive Agreement regarding International Exchange Projects Concluded with Japan Foundation on February 12th

On 12th of February 2016 (Fri), TUFS concluded a comprehensive agreement regarding international exchange projects, projects for exchanging international cultures and promotion of learning with the Japan Foundation. Following the conclusion of the agreement, President Hiroyasu and associates of the Japan Foundation, visited TUFS and an agreement signing ceremony was held with members of both institutions in attendance.
At the signing ceremony, during the ceremonial address President Tateishi said “Regarding the establishment of the Global Japan Office and the dispatch of Japanese language teachers, this could not be achieved without the support of the Japan Foundation and I sincerely hope that this cooperation will proceed in terms of the overseas development strategy in the future.” And President Hiroyasu of the Japan Foundation said “We shared many of the same ideas for the projects so I was confident that we were able to implement a solid agreement. From now leading into the future I would like to strengthen and further promote this collaboration.”
Until now, we have cooperated with the Japan Foundation in many different forms, more recently in December of 2015, when TUFS established the overseas based office “Global Japan Office” at the University of Salamanca in Spain, both Institutions dispatched Japanese Language Teachers to the aforementioned university. This is one example of the collaboration at work.
Following the conclusion of this agreement, we are planning to systematically conduct the exchange of researchers and cooperation of practical use of both institutions talented research and educational staff, sharing of information at the Global Japan Office and collaboration in such areas as Japanese language Education and Japan Research.
After the signing ceremony, President Yasuhiro and associates of the Japan Foundation visited the Japanese Language Center for International Students and observed some of the classes.
