TUFS Makes Agreement Relating to Ties and Cooperation with Seisen University (Dec. 14th)

Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) concluded an agreement with Seisen University on December 14th, 2015 titled ”Basic Agreement Relating to Ties and Cooperation”. The aim of this agreement is to further enhance the ties and cooperation between both institutions, relating to areas including interaction between students, as well as education and research teaching and research activity, both of which are made up of credits.
On the day of the agreement, President Sugiyama of Seisen University visited TUFS, and officials from both universities also attended the ceremony.
At the event, President Tateishi of TUFS expressed that “We are looking forward to working with Seisen University—a university which moves as a progressor of gloabalisation—who has close ties with Spain and Latin America, and who in particular is contributing to the development of Latin American educational institutions and their links. Moreover, we are hoping for a collaborative framework with Seisen University for the TUFS Institute of Japan Studies whereby they are able to contribute in a variety of ways.” President Sugiyama of Seisen University’s also gave his opening remarks: “I am very much looking forward to being able to connect and work with TUFS in many ways and I anticipate being able to interact with fellow students and building close connections with them.”
By the end of the event, an agreement relating to the transferal of credits between Seisen University and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies was made. After the agreement was concluded, both university presidents discussed the future development between the universities.
