On Thursday 13th October 2016, a party of 60 from the [中国各民族青年友好交流団] made a visit to TUFS.
This group was invited to Japan as part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Programme (JENSEYS2.0), and was organised by minority officials for young people and students who are engaged in race administration within Chinese government bodies. The group visited Japan with the purpose of coming into contact with Japanese history and culture, 'cool Japan' attractions such as commodities and services, and to deepen their understanding of the multi-faceted situation in Japan.
Following greetings from Vice President Kobayashi and [俸蘭], the group's director, there was an introduction to Chinese education at TUFS from Prof. Miyake Takayuki (Institute of Global Studies). Afterwards, students majoring in Chinese and East Asian studies at TUFS and members of the delegation formed small groups and had a vibrant exchange, engaging in games and discussions, as well as performing songs and dances to each other.
