Special Lecture Commemorating Beginning of Turkmen Tuition Held on June 2nd

On the 2nd of June 2016 (Thu), His Excellency Mr. Gurbanmammet Elyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan residing in Japan conducted a special lecture. This lecture was held to commemorate the first ever Turkmen language lectures to be given in Japan that have been offered from this April here at TUFS.
Turkmenistan is a neutral country located in Central Asia. Last year in October when Prime Minister Abe toured Central Asia, President Tateishi from TUFS visited Turkmenistan and under the two countries Prime Ministers attendance, concluded an academic exchange agreement with the University for the Humanities and Development, Turkmenistan (IUHD).
At this lecture, Prof. Myrat Begliyev, Vice Rector of IUHD who was also in Japan at the time gave a lecture titled “The educational development between Turkmenistan and Japan and the future between TUFS and IUHD”. The 200 seat venue became fully occupied and the high level of interest regarding Turkmenistan could be felt from the audience.
Prior to the lecture commencing, Ambassador Elyasov and Vice Rector Begliyev had a meeting with President Tateishi, Executive Director Fumiyasu Hirashita, Vice President Yukie Kobayashi, Prof. Yoshikazu Suzuki and Lecturer Shizuo Shimada. Also the group visited the university library as well as the Japanese Language Center for International Students to inspect the site where Japanese language education is being conducted.
From this Autumn Japanese language education will begin at IUHD. TUFS will be dispatching Japanese language teachers to cooperate in the Japanese language education at IUHD.
