Assistant Prof. Kumakura Wakako Receives the 10th JCAS Toryu-sho Award

Assistant Professor KUMAKURA Wakako from the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa (ILCAA) has been awarded the 10th (FY 2020) Japan Consortium for Area Studies Award in the Toryu-sho category (http://www.jcas.jp/about/awards.html) for her publication, "Nile Irrigation and the Land System in Medieval Egypt" (written in Japanese, 2019, University of Tokyo Press).
The JCAS Award aims to recognize outstanding achievements in area studies. The Toryu-sho category is especially awarded to exceptional young scholars for their works (books or papers).
