Professor Chika Takeda was awarded the National Order of Rio Branco by the Brazilian Federal Government

TUFS Professor Chika Takeda was awarded the National Order of Rio Branco (Ordem de Rio Branco, grau de Comendador) by the Brazilian Federal Government. This order is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Brazilian government to those who have made outstanding achievements in the field of diplomacy in commemoration of the father of Brazilian diplomacy, José Paranhos, Baron of Rio Branco. Professor Takeda was recognized for her long-standing contributions to the promotion of Brazilian culture in Japan and the strengthening of the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
