Mongolian Students Visit TUFS
March 14, 2019
On Monday the 11th of March 2019, 20 Mongolian high school students studying Japanese visited TUFS and attended a social gathering. This gathering was also attended by Associate Professor AOKI Masahiro (Institute of Global Studies, Mongolian and Central Eurasian Modern History, Mongolian and Soviet Union History) and 14 TUFS students studying Mongolian.
At the gathering, TUFS students gave an introduction to the university in Mongolian and then split into groups to do self-introductions, play games, and finally, give a campus tour to the visiting students. Both the TUFS students and the visiting students mixed Japanese and Mongolian to talk to each other, and could be seen enjoying their seemingly endless conversations.
This group of students were invited to Japan as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) program “JENESYS2018” (sponsor: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan), and visited TUFS to observe the university.
