TUFS Students Win Top 3 Places in Polish Speech Contest

On May 27, the Polish Speech Contest 2023 (organized by the Polish Cultural Institute in Tokyo) was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo, and TUFS students won the top three prizes. Ms. Chisaki AIHARA (3rd year, School of International and Area Studies) won first place, Ms. Ichika KIMURA (2nd year, School of Language and Culture Studies) won second place, and Mr. Kohki KOMIYA (3rd year, School of Language and Culture Studies) won third place. When the results were announced, the head of the jury commented that the overall level of the competition was high and that it was very difficult to determine the rankings. The first-place winner, Ms. AIHARA, received a Japan-Poland round-trip ticket from LOT Polish Airlines, and all three winners were awarded free enrollment in a summer course in the Polish language to be held in Poland.
