Cheerleading Team Wins at All-Japan Student Cheerleading Championship
January 14, 2025
At the 36th All-Japan Student Cheerleading Championship, held at Takasaki Arena (Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture) on Saturday, December 21 and Sunday, December 22, 2024, the TUFS cheerleading team RAMS won the free performance competition in the Division 1 Mixed category.
Comment from Mr. Mitsuzawa Yutaro (4th year student, School of Language and Culture Studies), captain of the A Team:
This time, the cheerleading team RAMS was able to achieve the same result as last year, winning the 36th All-Japan Student Cheerleading Competition free performance competition Division 1 Mixed category, which was held on December 21st and 22nd.
The A team, which I led as captain, worked hard for about three months to prepare for the competition with the goal of winning first place. From the time the team was first formed, we had trouble getting enough members together, and we had many difficult days as we worked towards our lofty goal. However, no matter what the situation, we never lost sight of our goal, and the whole team never forgot to keep challenging ourselves. By making the maximum effort that each individual could, we were able to bring 2024 to a close in the best possible way.
We were able to achieve this great result thanks to the support of many people, including team members, our seniors who are now alumni, coaches, the families of team members, and everyone who always enthusiastically supports the RAMS. Thank you very much.
From now on, the cheerleading team RAMS will continue to practice together in order to become an even bigger, more fun, and stronger team. We ask for your continued support in 2025 as well.
Comment from Ms. Shintani Haruka, captain of the cheerleading team (3rd year student, School of International and Area Studies)
Thank you very much to everyone who has supported and cheered us on.
The reason we were able to achieve the above result at the 36th All-Japan Student Cheerleading Championship was thanks to the support of everyone involved with the RAMS. Competitive cheerleading is a sport that delivers “energy, courage and smiles”, but in addition to this, we have also worked hard in our practice to be able to convey our gratitude to everyone involved in our activities. We hope that we have been able to convey this to everyone through our performance and results at this tournament.
We will continue to work hard to deliver even better performances to everyone, so we ask for your continued support.
