Director General and Representatives of EIFORCES (Cameroon) Visit TUFS

On Wednesday the 5th of June, the Director General of Cameroon's International School for Security Forces (EIFORCES), BITOTE Andre Patrice, and 25 representatives visited TUFS.

This visit came to fruition after TUFS professor SHINODA Hideaki (Institute of Global Studies, peacebuilding specialist) visited Africa as part of an exchange project held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which he had the opportunity to visit Cameroon and EIFORCES.

The meeting held during this visit was attended by Professor Shinoda, Professor TAKEUCHI Shinichi (Director of the African Studies Center, African Area Studies specialist) and Lecturer OISHI Takanori (African Studies Center, cultural anthropology and folkloristics), and opinions were exchanged on current peace support operations and the current state of development in Africa.

EIFORCES is a training center for peace support operations that also has a research facility. TUFS expects to work with EIFORCES in the future from a research perspective.
