Polish Ambassador Visits TUFS

On Monday the 9th of December (2019), the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, his Excellency Mr. Pawel MILEWSKI, visited TUFS and met with President HAYASHI Kayoko. This meeting was also attended by Associate Professor MORITA Koji (Institute of Global Studies).

Before the meeting, Ambassador Milewski visited the TUFS Library and examined our Polish language collection. TUFS is the only university in Japan that offers Polish as a major course of study, and as a result has played a large role in bridging the two countries together through cultural and social exchanges.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Japan-Poland diplomatic relations, and we anticipate that this visit contributed towards strengthening relations between the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo and TUFS.
