TUFS Enters Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Seinan Gakuin University

On Monday the 16th of December, TUFS entered into an inter-university comprehensive partnership agreement with Seinan Gakuin University.
This agreement aims to further develop both universities and the human resources they nurture by planning education and research-centered exchanges, and by reviving academic research at both universities so their results can reach the world. As for specific projects, TUFS plans to establish an online Vietnamese class for Seinan Gakuin University. TUFS is also looking at the possibility of accepting Seinan Gakuin University students from the newly-formed Department of Foreign Language Studies as national exchange students.
The signing ceremony was held at Seinan Gakuin University, and was attended by many people including President G. W. BARKLEY and TUFS President HAYASHI Kayoko. President Hayashi remarked that ‘I look forward to working together with Seinan Gakuin University, as it plays the same role as TUFS, which is to improve the environment for learning multiple languages in Japan. I hope that TUFS and Seinan Gakuin University can work together to learn about the world through foreign language education’. President Barkley said ‘we are very proud to be working together with a university with as long a history and as solid a track record as the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and I am particularly looking forward to student exchanges in the near future’.
