On Friday the 29th of September, TUFS invited police officers from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and Fuchu Police Station to give an orientation on crime prevention for international students. This orientation was attended by around 300 exchange students (ISEPTUFS), Japanese Studies students who arrived at TUFS in September, as well as their buddies. At the orientation, students learnt about how to make an emergency call in Japan, and listened to precautionary explanations regarding crime.
In addition to this, international students were paired with TUFS students through the international student support buddy system, whom they met for the first time before the session. The students introduced themselves to each other and exchanged contact details, providing a good opportunity for the new international students to make friends with Japanese students.
