Welcome Event for New Students Co-sponsored with Tokyo Gaigokai (Alumni Association)

On Friday, May 24, 2024, the Tokyo Gaigokai (Alumni Association) and TUFS co-hosted a welcome party for new students at the TUFS University Hall. The purpose of this event was to deepen exchanges between new students, current students, alumni, and university staff. This year, a total of approximately 250 people, including around 200 new students, current students from the Gaigosai Festival Committee and Photography Club, Gaikgokai alumni including young graduates, and university officials including President Kayoko Hayashi attended the event.

At the welcome party, President Hayashi gave words of encouragement to the new students, and the young alumni gave their greetings. Afterwards, students introduced themselves and discussed freely at each table. New students were able to listen to advice and stories about university life and study abroad exchanges from the senior students. It was also a valuable opportunity for the seniors to feel the enthusiasm of the new students.

The welcome party ended with a friendly atmosphere. Participants commented that they made new friends, learned a lot from talking with seniors, and became more interested in the activities of the Gaigokai.
