Qatar High School Students visit TUFS

On July 11, 2024 (Thursday), 10 high school students from Qatar and 2 chaperones visited TUFS. 14 TUFS students from the School of Japan Studies or majoring in Arabic helped welcome the Qatari students. The students enjoyed a Halal bento for lunch before attending Vice-President Professor Nobuo Haruna��s lesson on Japanese politics. This was followed by a tour of the campus, including the library and a room in one of the dormitories, guided by TUFS students, and an information session about the courses at TUFS. Finally, the students participated in an introductory Arabic language lesson taught by Professor Masato Tominaga, where the Qatari students introduced Qatar using simple Arabic and answered questions from TUFS students studying Arabic.
