Director of the Laos-Japan Human Resource Development Institute, National University of Laos, and others visit TUFS

On Friday, August 2, 2024, Dr. Phonekeo Chanthamaly, Director of the Laos-Japan Human Resource Development Institute, National University of Laos and others visited TUFS President Kayoko Hayashi. The Institute was established with Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Japan, and is an institution that bridges Japan and Laos, providing human resource development, including Japanese language education.
In addition to President Hayashi, Vice President Yoko Kikuchi, Director of the Online Japanese Education Center (OJEC) Tomomi Otsu, Professor Reiko Suzuki, and Senior Language Lecturer Phokhasili Khammet participated in the meeting.
During the discussion, Dr. Phonekeo Chanthamaly, Director of the Laos-Japan Human Resource Development Institute, explained the purpose and activities of the Institute, and OJEC Director Otsu explained about the online Japanese language education at TUFS. Dr. Bandaxay Lovanxay, advisor to Japan Alumni Association of Laos, who accompanied the delegation, also explained the importance of student exchange and the strengthening of relations between the two countries. The meeting ended with the two parties confirming that they will continue their exchange and cooperation in the future.
