TUFS has established another overseas facility at Cairo University, named “Global Japan Office”. For several years now, the Japanese Department of the Cairo University has been hiring the Japanese language teachers (junior level) who studied in the Japanese language education program here at TUFS and this has strengthened their capabilities. On the other hand, we at TUFS, have been inviting professors from Cairo University to help us out with our Arabic language education. Thanks to these arrangements with Cairo University, we have been able to form a strong bond. From now on, the Global Japan Desk will hold events for introducing Japan to the students at Cairo University and we will do so with a help from the Japanese language teachers and exchange students from TUFS.
Specific Activities
Introducing Japan and offering support to Japanese students studying abroad at Cairo University will be carried out in the form of aiding the activity of the Literature Club (EJCC) which belongs to the Japanese Literature Department within the Department of Literature at Cairo University.
