Pre-Intermediate 1	Japanese Pre-Intermediate 1 is for students who have completed the elementary level course. Intermediate 1	Japanese Intermediate 1 is for students who have completed the pre-intermediate level of study. Intermediate 2	Japanese Intermediate 2 is for students who have been studying at the intermediate level for a short period of time.
