On July 17, 2019, Shukulu and Rodrigue left Japan after studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) for 10 months. We believe that it was a precious opportunity for them since they leant a lot from their lives in Japan and Japanese people.
Before we started the project to raise funds for them to study in Japan (and still now), we felt how much difficult for students in African countries to study here. However, since many people supported Shukulu and Rodrigue both financially and mentally, we could also fell how much warm hearts people have. We also realized that it is sometimes difficult for foreign people to live in Japan because of language burdens, food problem and so on.
It hasn't really hit us that they've gone, but we will miss them very soon. However, their lives will go on, and the period they have spent in Japan is just one phase of their lives. I pray for their successes from Japan. Besides, we will welcome new student from PIASS from this September, so we will prepare for it well.
Thanks to you and other many people, Shukulu and Rodrigue could come to Japan and study at TUFS. They fitted in life in Japan, learnt so much, and taught us so many things, which were much more than we'd expected. Now, they have so many fans in Japan.
Thank you so much for all of your supports and warm hearts!
